Wandering down dark alley ways
I see a street lamp
flicker like my tongue
on milky white skin.
The stars are blotted out.
And smoke rises
between the cracks
of the molten asphalt.
I left something of me here
and I cannot remember
where I left it.
Behind dumpsters,
in trash bags
in the front poket
of some unnamed homeless.
Under the road maybe.
Or on a railing
sky to hard blackened waters.
This is my melted dark sea.
The city.
Parade through time lines
unwax these life lines
cannot count the number
of moca's Ive had down town.
How many licks does it take
to make a girl
become a woman?
